Clay Travis: This "MLB Madness" Should Be a New Tradition

Clay Travis absolutely loves what Major League Baseball is doing with this year's postseason. Yesterday, Clay picked up his son from school early and they watched the first game of the day, the Braves and the Reds, battle in a 13 inning marathon that saw Freddie Freeman hit a walk off line drive into center field to score the game's only run.

Seven more playoff games followed, and Clay is a huge fan of being able to spend the whole day watching what he called "NCAA tournament, baseball style." Clay thinks this new MLB format should stay on the sports calendar and become a new tradition in Major League Baseball.

Baseball often gets criticized, including for the way they handled their pandemic delay, caused by a revenue sharing dispute, which played out in public. Clay believes that baseball not only recovered but has stumbled upon a new wrinkle that could really help the game become more exciting moving forward.
