'Fastest Player in NFL' Scotty Miller Says He'd Beat Tyreek Hill in a Race

Dan Patrick: “How would you do if you and Tyreek Hill lined up??”

Scotty Miller: “I’m taking me every day of the week. I’m taking myself over anybody. Tyreek is unbelievable, super quick, an unbelievable talent, but if we're talking about a race, I have all the confidence in myself going up against anybody.”

DP: “Wait, you think you’re the fastest guy in the NFL?”

Miller: “Yes sir!”

DP: “What’s that like to get in the blocks in High School and you’re running the 100 meters and you look around and they’re probably looking at you like ‘can this guy run??’”

Miller: “HAHA, absolutely, yeah. I think people always slept on me but they’re going to find out really quick once that gun goes off who’s the fastest one.”

Listen to Buccaneers wide receiver Scotty Miller join the Dan Patrick Show declaring himself the NFL’s fastest player, and loving his chances against Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill if both players were to have a foot race.

Miller is coming off an NFC Championship Game where he made one of the most important plays in Bucs history after catching a 39-yard touchdown pass from Tom Brady in the dying seconds of the first half against the Packers on a go-route that completely caught Green Bay’s defense off-guard.

Tampa Bay had no timeouts remaining and the Packers’ defense was guarding against short sideline routes that would have gotten Tampa Bay into better field position to attempt a buzzer-beating field goal.

Instead, Miller burned Packers corner Kevin King and caught the miraculous Hail Mary in the corner of Green Bay’s end zone.

Miller was a sixth-round pick from Bowling Green in the 2019 NFL Draft, and said he ran a 4.39, 40-yard dash at his Pro Day, but says it was hand-timed, adding that some of the scouts in attendance had Miller’s time in the 4.2’s. Miller said he wished he would have been invited to the NFL Combine, where all 40’s are laser-timed.
