Why Jared Goff Has Played His Final Game on the Rams

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks the Los Angeles Rams are swiftly positioning themselves to move on from starting quarterback Jared Goff, as Colin has a theory on why the team has been so mysteriously lukewarm during public exit interviews regarding Goff’s future with the team.

Goff has one of the most difficult careers to evaluate given how ‘not bad’ it is, but at the same time it’s been a career that has been scoffed at for the majority of his five years in the league.

Maybe it was the fact Goff went 0-7 in his rookie season with former head coach Jeff Fisher, and finished with 5 touchdowns, 7 INTs, and a completion percentage of 54.6%.

Two Pro Bowls and a Super Bowl appearance later, and fans seem to believe that Sean McVay’s system has been the primary reason why Goff has been put into a position to succeed, at least much more so than other great QB’s who play in creative offenses.

Goff has only once finished in the top 15 of the league in QBR for a season, after finishing 10th in 2018.

It probably doesn’t help Goff’s cause that he signed a four-year, $134 million extension with the Rams before the 2019 season.

Check out the video above as Colin details what he thinks Goff’s fate will be.
