Nicki Minaj Gives Birth To First Child With Husband Kenneth Petty

Nicki Minaj is a new mom!

The "Chun-Li" rapper and her husband Kenneth Petty welcomed their first child, TMZ has learned. Sources with direct knowledge told the outlet that Minaj gave birth to her little bundle of joy in Los Angeles this Wednesday (September 30). As yet, neither the sex nor the name of the couple's newborn has been revealed.

The superstar first broke her pregnancy news in July, baring her baby bump for the first time on Instagram. “#Preggers 💛” she captioned the announcement at the time along with snaps from her colorful maternity shoot. "Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes. 💛"

As Barbz now, Minaj and Petty tied the knot in October 2019 after less than a year of dating.

In a 2012 cover story with Complex, the "Starships" musician expressed her desire to be married with a family of four within the next 10 years. "In 2022, I’ll definitely be married and I’ll definitely have my two children," she predicted at the time. "OK, I might have three."

As for how many boys and girls she hopes to have, Minaj said she needs "at least one boy," and added, "I don’t think I even need a girl."

"I really need a boy in my life. A baby boy. Because… I’m so attached to my little brother and I felt like that was my real son," she said. "And boys, they’re just so, I don’t know... My heart just melts when I see them."

Congratulations, Nicki and Kenneth!
