The Yankees were facing elimination last night and fell behind 6-1 early to the Blue Jays but Aaron Judge stepped up to the plate facing an opportunity to tie the game with one swing of the bat and boy did he deliver. Dan saw shades of Barry Bonds in that swing last night as Judge put the Yankees on his back and took a huge step in redefining his postseason reputation.
Dan Patrick: “He was down 0-2, they threw a great pitch inside that most mortals will strike out on, and he turned on a 99-mile-an-hour fastball that was…the only other person I’ve ever seen (do) that was Barry Bonds, where it’s inside, so inside. But he turned on it, and kept it fair, and hit a homerun. Magical, magical!”
