As it stands, the Boise State Broncos will be receiving a bye in the first round of the College Football Playoff and Doug is beside himself. It’s one thing to expand the field to include more mid-level schools, it’s quite another to give them this kind of preferential seeding.
Doug Gottlieb: “We have gone from excluding the non-Power 4 conference schools to completely bending over backwards to the point of being ridiculous... Inclusion? Great! Include ‘em, as an 11 or 12 seed...They are not at the level of the rest of the teams. Just because the non-Power 4s haven’t been included in the past doesn’t mean we need to go from admitting them to granting them V.I.P. status.”
